Friday morning President Trump told reporters that the U.S. was done having any business with China’s giant telecom company, Huawei. This announcement came on the heels of China’s announcement that they were going to stop buying agricultural products from the U.S.- as retaliation for the hike in tariffs last week.
“We’re not going to be doing business with Huawei,” President Donald Trump said. During that time, China allowed its currency to drop against the U.S. dollar to a record low, causing Trump to label China as a “currency manipulator” in response.
Although Huawei is currently banned from using Google’s operating system, they still have hope to succeed in the world. On Friday, they announced that they had designed a Harmony operating system to power their mobile devices. [2]
