Missouri Judges Up For Reelection- Do You Know Them?

A Judges Gavel.

A Judge's Gavel.

Occasionally, we elect—or reelect—our Missouri judges. This November, we will vote on four judges. While gubernatorial and senatorial candidates are in the news, judges’ decisions are rarely discussed. However, they help shape our state and nation’s direction. Here are the four running for office and a short bio on each.

Kelly C. Broniec

Broniec was appointed by Parson in 2023. Before that, she served as an appellate judge and associate circuit judge. She argued against Proposition 3, which goes against our Constitution and allows abortion. She lives just west of St. Louis. Some of her judicial decisions are here.

Ginger K. Gooch

Gooch was appointed by the parson in 2023. She believes in the rule of law: If you commit a crime, you pay the penalty. She comes from Springfield and has been a member of the bar since 2000.

Becky J.W. Borthwick

Becky J.W. Borthwick is running for Associate Circuit Judge. She is also from Springfield and handles civil and criminal matters. Judge Borthwick is a case management oversight team member on the Supreme Court’s Show-Me Courts Automation Committee and performs in Springfield’s orchestra.

Chief Judge Jennifer R. Growcock

Jennifer R. Growcock is running for judge of the Southern District Court of Appeals. She was appointed to this position in 2021. She earned her law degree in 2001. She is a member of numerous groups and is involved in many activities. Governor Parson appointed her to this position. She lives with her family in Ozark, Missouri.

These are the judges we get to vote for or against. They were each appointed by Parson and follow the laws we have. AltonMo.com encourages readers to investigate each person running for office, to ensure they will follow the law as written.

Thanks Jennifer Thomas. Was looking for an unbiased article with helpful wording like “Prop 3 which goes against our Constitution” and “She believes in the rule of law: If you commit a crime, you pay the penalty.” Since our side can’t win honestly, and we have to skew things, lie, and/or deliberately try to confuse people with language like “protect women” rather than trying to win votes honestly. So very Christ-ian of you—doing His work. Mrs. Thomas, how are you not a successful article writer? You know, like a talented and/or at least financially successful one who writes for something like Fox News, Epoch Times, or The Daily Wire? God bless you, Jennifer.
