The 2020 presidential elections are slowly drawing closer and with that comes the competitive nature between all of the parties but especially between the Democrats and Republicans. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi didn’t come out and say that President Trump is a power hungry man who won’t give up the presidential office if he loses in 2020 but she did say in an interview with New York Times that “he’s not going to respect the election,” and “He would poison the public mind.” [1] This was said shortly before Trump retweeted MAGA supporter Jerry Falwells tweet which stated that Trump should get two extra years in office as recompense for his time lost to the Mueller investigation.
Tremendous Success
President Trump is known for making bold statements to reporters and posting controversial tweets on his twitter, which is why most legal experts didn’t give a chain of his recent tweets a second thought. “They have stolen two years of my (our) Presidency (Collusion Delusion) that we will never be able to get back…..” Trump stated after retweeting Falwell’s idea of extending Trump’s time in office.
After the best week ever for @realDonaldTrump – no obstruction, no collusion, NYT admits @BarackObama did spy on his campaign, & the economy is soaring. I now support reparations-Trump should have 2 yrs added to his 1st term as pay back for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup

Despite the tremendous success that I have had as President, including perhaps the greatest ECONOMY and most successful first two years of any President in history, they have stolen two years of my (our) Presidency (Collusion Delusion) that we will never be able to get back…..

…..The Witch Hunt is over but we will never forget. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Its a Joke
This isn’t the first time he’s offhandedly remarked about his term limits, just last month he made a joke about a six-year term, “I promise at the end of six years, I’ll be very happy.” Although some believe that Trump means nothing when he refers to an increased term limit “He doesn’t mean anything by it,” said Michael W. McConnell, a former federal judge who now directs the Stanford Constitutional Law Center, Michael Cohen does not, “I fear that if he loses the election in 2020, that there will never be a peaceful transition of power,” Cohen said. “And this is why I agreed to appear before you today.” [2]
“If we win by four seats, by a thousand votes each, he’s not going to respect the election,” even House Speaker Pelosi has taken action, warning fellow Democrats to vote center-left and not far left so that they’ll be more likely to win big in 2020. “Own the center-left, own the mainstream,” she said. [3]
The 2020 election is just getting started.
