Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan confirmed that states that refused to “cooperate” with President-elect Donald Trump’s plans for the mass deportation of illegal immigrants would have their federal funding slashed in retribution.

Since his decisive electoral victory, Trump has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promise of executing the “largest deportation program in American history” on his first day in office.

The Plan

Homan, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during Trump’s first administration, discussed the plan on the Fox News show Life, Liberty & Levin.

During the interview, the host, Levin, suggested that the Trump administration had a “powerful weapon” in federal funding that it could utilize against Democratic states that seek to “block” the policy’s rollout.

The host said:

Much like the Confederacy, they want to go on their own. They want to do their own thing. To me, you got a powerful weapon among others, okay, no federal funds – boom – last thoughts [1]?

Other administrators have withheld funds from states that do not follow their plans.

Illegals Here

Pivoting to governors pushing back against deportations, he cited the case of Laken Riley, a student murdered in February when out jogging by a 26-year-old Venezuelan who had entered the United States illegally. She is a prominent name, but many others have been killed or deeply injured by illegal residents, invited here by the current administration, and allowed to continue in their lawless ways against American citizens.
