Alton, Mo. – First Baptist Church in Alton, MO has awarded two local youths college scholarships to help forward these teens on their way to a brighter future. The two young men filled out the appropriate paperwork in the time allotted and the church granted them scholarships.
Ryan Worthy
While not attending First Baptist Church, Ryan Worthy also put in an application for the college scholarship. Pastor David Langston announced Ryan Worthy’s scholarship and the young man went forward. Pastor Langston prayed over Ryan and gave him the scholarship.
David Thomas
David Thomas graduated from Abeka Academy in the homeschooling division where he made honor roll. He plans on attending College of the Ozarks with a major in computer science. Pastor Langston presented David with his scholarship at a morning church service. The pastor also prayed for David at the presentation.
First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church is located at 14791 Missouri 19 on the south side of Alton. It fronts the park and supplies ample parking for all of its activities.
