Easter is this Sunday, March 31, 2024. Sunrise services, church Easter egg hunts, and special services are being held in honor of Jesus’ resurrection.
Myrtle
Myrtle First Baptist Church will have its normal services: Sunday school will be at 10:00 am, and the service will be at 11:00. After the service, there will be an Easter egg hunt for the little children.
Shilo
The Shilo Baptist Church will start Easter Sunday off with a sunrise service outside at 6:30 am. Breakfast will be at 7:00 am, with Sunday school and the worship service to follow at 8:00 am and 9:00 am respectively.
Alton First Baptist
The Alton First Baptist Church will have its regular services with Sunday school starting at 9:30 am. They will not have an egg hunt this year. In the evening at 6:00 pm, Cyprien will share his testimony and engage with attendees in a Q&A. Snacks will be served after for all interested.Â
Alton United Methodist
The Alton United Methodist Church has several Easter-related services. They will have a Maundy Thursday service on March 28th at 5:30 pm, a Good Friday service on March 29th at 5:30 pm, and their regular Easter service on March 31st at 9:00 am.
Alton Assembly of God
The Alton Assembly of God Church is having a Good Friday praise/worship and Communion service at 6:00 pm on March 28th. On Easter Sunday, an Easter egg hunt and children’s Easter lesson during children’s church for children ages 11 and under. This will occur while the adults enjoy Resurrection Sunday morning worship in the sanctuary on March 31st.
Riverton Baptist Church
Riverton Baptist Church will have a sonrise service at 7:30 am, followed by breakfast. Sunday school classes will be at 9:00 am and church will start at 10:00 am.
Faith Tabernacle Rover
Faith Tabernacle Rover will have an Easter service at 10:00 am and at 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided
Alton Sunrise Service
Alton’s community sunrise service will be on March 31st at 6:30 am. Breakfast will follow the service. Pastor Kevin Crum will be speaking. This service will be at the Alton United Methodist Church.
Thayer Easter Service
The Thayer Community Easter Service will be Tuesday, March 26th with dinner at 6:00 pm, followed by the Community Easter Worship Service at 7:00 pm. This will be at the First Assembly of God Thayer Church.
