On October 23, 2023, after much turmoil, the House elected Representative Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House. While liberal thinkers work to entangle him, he has a firm foundation: the Bible.
His View
Recently, Johnson was interviewed on Fox News. As he was not a renowned person of the House, he was asked about what he thought about so many issues. His answer was short,
Well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it – that’s my worldview [1].
Earlier, he spoke to Congress and told them that
he believed they were all called by God to use their gifts to the best of their ability to serve the American people [2].
Living It
Johnson is not afraid to live what he believes. Back in January, when there were troubling times about a House speaker, Johnson did not hesitate to pray. Representative Steube from Florida said this about Johnson,
He is a strong Christian. He’s not afraid to look to his faith for guidance. America needs that more than ever in the U.S. House [3].
