Alton, Mo. – Alton is hosting Two candlelight Christmas services this weekend! To better accommodate most people’s schedules, two churches are having services to remember the birth of Christ. As mentioned, First Baptist Church of Alton is having a service on Sunday evening. Saturday evening, The Father’s House is having its candlelight service.
Saturday, December 23
Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. The Father’s House is hosting a candlelight service. This church is the former community worship center, across the street from the post office. They invited two special singers along with a harpist. It should be a memorable service.
Sunday, December 24
Meanwhile, the First Baptist Church is hosting a community candlelight Christmas Eve service on Sunday evening. This service begins at 6:00 p.m. It also includes a harpist and a special vocalist. After the service, free snacks will be provided.
The community is invited to each service. They are free, and one need not be a member of the church to attend. It is a simple yet thoughtful way to remember the birth of Christ. So bring the whole family out to either or both of these community services.
