Couch, Mo. – Did you play basketball in your younger years? Do you still have what it takes? How would you like to compete against others your age- or older? Couch has arranged a county-wide basketball showdown! They have selected alumni from Couch, Alton, Thayer, and Koshkonong to participate. Whoever wins, there will be exciting matchups.
Start
Signups began in January, with Couch luring alumni from neighboring schools to participate in their alumni game. Each team needs ten players.
When Is This?
The fun occurs on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. While the players are on the court, viewers can pay for additional points for the team of their choice. So, while the game is decided by skill, money can also choose the winner. Each game has two fifteen-minute quarters. The games continue all day, with the final game ending at 7.
Food
Concessions will be open all day. Between 5 and 7 p.m., Southern Bank of Alton will sponsor a fish fry, and tacos will be available during lunch.

The fun happens at Couch School.
Who Can Go?
The teams have already been chosen. The public can attend and cheer on their favorite team. Admission is low: only $4 for an adult and $2 for each student. These are not extravagant prices for a fun family day out.
