On Friday, November 10, 2023, four teams will face off in the Class 1 District 1 Football Semifinals. Here’s a look into the four teams.
Cabool Vs. Marionville
Marionville has been doing great all season, being the only undefeated team in Class 1 District 1. Cabool, on the other hand, has done average, having a record of 5-5. In their respective quarterfinal games, the Marionville Comets won 49-0, while the Cabool Bulldogs won 40-6. [1] They will face off at Marionville High School.
Thayer Vs. Portageville
The number three seed Thayer Bobcats won their quarterfinal matchup against Charleston 51-14. Not to be outmatched, the number two seed, the Portageville Bulldogs, also won their matchup against Pierce City 63-6. [2] It will be an interesting game to watch as the Bulldogs have about twice as many players as the Bobcats. However, the Bobcats have a fighting spirit and will try their best to move on to the district finals.
