Alton, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs signed tight end Travis Kelce, 30 years old, to a 4-year deal worth $57.25 million on Friday, August 14, 2020. The Chiefs, having already signed quarterback Patrick Mahomes and defensive end Chris Jones to contract extensions, knew it was time for them to sign Travis Kelce.
How Much Is The Deal Worth
The contract extension is worth $57.25 million for four years. Kelce still has two years left on the five-year deal worth $46 million that he signed in 2016. Of the deal, $28 million is guaranteed. The deal is, on average, $14 million to $15 million a year is going to be paid to Travis Kelce. [1]

Travis Kelce is considered one of the best tight ends in the National Football League. Kelce has been to the Pro Bowl five times and has one Super Bowl win. For four straight seasons, he has gotten 1,000 yards or more of receiving yards, which he is the first tight end to do so. In 2019, he led all tight ends in receptions (97) and receiving yards (1,229) while posting five touchdowns in the regular season. He had 19 catches for 207 yards and four touchdowns in three postseason games. [2]
