Alton, Mo. – With the National Football League season opener coming only in eighteen days, teams have been finalizing whether or not there will be fans in attendance. The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Monday, August 17, 2020, that Arrowhead Stadium will have a reduced capacity of 22% of the original maximum capacity.
Multiple Pods
The NFL announced the idea of pod-seating earlier this year. There will be groups of six or fewer people, called pods, all over the stadium. You must know the people inside the pod you are in. [1]
How Much Is 22% Capacity
Arrowhead Stadium can hold a maximum capacity of 76,416 people. The capacity that is going to be allowed at Arrowhead Stadium during the season is 16,811 fans.
Commemorative Masks
Fans are to wear a mask unless they are currently eating or drinking. But all the fans that attend the first three games will get a commemorative mask.
Social Distancing/Hand Sanitizers
Social distancing will be practiced in seating areas and high-traffic areas. [2] Hand sanitization areas will be placed around Arrowhead Stadium so you can sanitize.
Tailgating
Tailgating will be allowed in the parking lot, but guests will have to just use the space behind their car.
The NFL season opener will be on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs will go against the Houston Texans, who they beat 51-31 in the AFC Divisional Round.
