Alton, Mo. – The Alton Comets junior high baseball team triumphed over the Winona Wildcats in a match-up on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Alton High School baseball field. The Comets won 11-2.

Beat The Odds
The Comets had several things threatening their win. Rainy weather the past few days threatened to ruin the match-up, but the sun came out the day of the game. While there was a height difference between the Comets and Wildcats, that did not stop the Comets from trying their best and coming off with the win.

The Game
For the majority of the game, Alton kept the lead. On one hit, all the bases were full but the Comets managed to get everyone out. The final score was 11-2 with the Comets taking the win.
