My annual renewal for some NFL services that we purchase came up, and the NFL sent me a nice notice. I would have just renewed but for the way the NFL has conducted itself over the last few months. So I wrote the following and thought some of you might be interested.
Open Letter To NFL
Hi,
I am not racist. The sentiment that black lives matter is one with which I agree. The organization “Black Lives Matter” (BLM) is a racist, Marxist, anti-family, anti-American organization that rejects the principles of Martin Luther King and the leaders who established the civil rights laws of this country. I do not support their seditionistic strategy and tactics.
I do not support the organization because of the above, as well as their violent opposition to the view that all lives matter, as in “all men are created equal.” A belief our 16th President fought for and died for in a war that gave birth to the civil war amendments.
I’d like to quote this article, “https://medium.com/@johnanderson1989/no-it-is-not-racist-to-oppose-blm-65c941e4596” written by John Anderson.
“BLM is a classic and effective piece of rhetorical blackmail. Either get on board or you’re a racist: that is the logic of it — a logic driven by fear [1].
That piece goes further, “It’s the perfect slogan, as befitting the powerful alignment between progressive liberal-left politics and the PR, media and advertising industries across the Anglophone world. There’s an immediate and powerful social block on even questioning this movement just from its name.”
Anderson continues, “But no political movement should ever be above scrutiny and criticism, however cleverly it has been designed and marketed. It needs to be said clearly — just because you find BLM’s politics and approach to politics, worrying, that doesn’t make you a racist. All political organizations should be judged by both their actions and their words, and there is no reason why that should not apply to BLM. We have seen ample evidence of the actions of BLM supporters, their tactics, on the streets of America.”
The phrase “mostly peaceful protests” is now a national joke and those that back BLM’s behavior are beginning to feel the pushback.
“There has been violence, attacks on the police, targeted political vandalizing of public buildings and monuments and a shrill aggression and threats.” Anderson added regarding the tactics of BLM.
Americans are waking up to the disparity between what the press publishes concerning BLM and their actual conduct. The phrase “mostly peaceful protests” is now a national joke, and those that back BLM’s behavior are beginning to feel the pushback. The opinions of Americans concerning the organization BLM has cratered over the last month, and the backlash against the NBA has manifested itself already. Ratings have decreased from the previous year.
The NFL is on track for the same results. Unless you differentiate yourself and your position from the organization BLM, you will lose 30-50% of your audience. I am one of them. Again, just because I don’t support the Marxist ideology pushed by BLM does not make me a racist. I am sick of announcers, commercials, etc. telling me I am.
I will not be renewing any of my NFL packages until your messaging is not muddled with BLM. Perhaps, “Can’t We All Get Along” or “End Drive-by Shootings That Kill Children” or “The Unborn are Babies Too” or “All Lives Matter”. But you can’t do that last one because you all are cowards and afraid of a fringe group that is trying to fundamentally disrupt and change this country.
Please consider the voices of:
Candice Owens,
Jason Whitlock,
Muhammad Ali, Jr.,
And, many more…
Thank you for your attention,
