We are entering a busy time for MODOT (Missouri Department of Transportation). We know they work ‘out there’ on interstates, but they are moving to local areas soon. You will want to remember these locations to avoid backups or delays in your travel.
Recent Past
If you traveled to West Plains over the summer, you would remember that US 63 was under major construction as MoDOT replaced the bridge over the railroad tracks and patched US 160 simultaneously.
Upcoming Construction
Several projects in the area are announced so travelers can avoid them.
US 160 West Plains
They have broken ground for an overpass to the railroad tracks on Independence, near Aldi. Rerouting is available.
US 63 North to US 60
MoDot will be striping from West Plains to Willow Springs. Various lane closures can be expected. Watch for the signs. This happens all week.
Winona
From October 16-18, MoDot will work on US 60 from Willow Springs to Winona, doing shoulder repairs. Watch for signs and give workers a break.
