Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) will be working in the local area again. After repaving Highway P north of Alton in Oregon County, they took a break for Independence Day and regrouped for moving to the south end of the county.
Where Is The Work Getting Done?
MODOT plan on widening the shoulders and paving the roadway on Highway 142. This work begins at Route EE in Oregon County and ends at Route 21 in Ripley County.
When Are They Working?
Weather permitting, roadwork begins Monday, July 13, 2020, and lasts all the way until Thursday, October 1, 2020. The workers will be out from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. If necessary, they will work weekends also.
What All Is Involved?
The roadwork will reduce the highway to only one lane. Flagmen will stop and start traffic at either end. A pilot car will direct traffic through the work zone.
