Have you wanted to travel overseas? Somewhere exotic and assuredly not American? Have you considered Japan? While Japan may be a popular spot for tourists,  a new sales promotion will make visiting easier – and more affordable – than ever before. Japan offers FREE flights from the United States to Japan- but only for a limited time. Save your flight money for spending on tourist items.

Fly From Where?

Japan Airlines offers free flights to Japan to flyers from the US, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand. It will also be available to flyers from Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, China, and Taiwan.

How Can I Take Advantage?

To claim the free tickets, passengers must book round-trip international flights with the same airline and domestic flights in the same reservation as the international flights.

Travelers from the US, Canada, Mexico, and China who plan to stay in their first destination for more than 24 hours will be charged a $100 stopover fee.

How Long Does This Deal Last?

A spokesperson for Japan Airlines told Business Insider that “no end date has been set” for the promotion.

Visit All Of Japan

The promotion allows lesser-known cities and towns to become more accessible.

Most tourists visiting Japan make the mistake of only visiting the capital, Tokyo, which doesn’t fully represent the country’s broad and versatile culture.

Other than the capital, Hokkaido is a city that is recommended for visiting. It is often more affordable than the capital and has friendly locals.

Meanwhile, Kanazawa on the east coast of Japan’s Honshu island is another favorite little-known tourist spot. It hosts Edo-era architecture, historic teahouses, and traditional Japanese artists or geishas.

Japan offers other alluring towns to tourists. Take time to stroll through the countryside as you experience Japan.
