Groundhog Day is celebrated by Punxsutawney Phil, a groundhog, who comes from his home to look for his shadow. If he sees it, it means the sun is out and winter weather is on the way. Spring weather is coming if he does not see his shadow, meaning it’s cloudy. This year, it was sunny so we can expect more winter weather.
How does a groundhog in Pennsylvania know this? How can he predict the weather across America? That is not easy to say. This is merely fun and games. This is comparable to asking if your glass is half full or half empty. They mean the same thing. It is how you look at things.
